Scarlets
Garden is an English/Sri Lankan venture that emerged in the wake of
the
Tsunami. We are a small company and our aim is to make beautiful quality
garments
. We use the finest pure silk which is cut by hand so that it fits
superbly
and looks wonderful. This is also very time consuming and as such
we
do not mass produce; this also means that once a roll of silk is finished
we
cannot always guarantee that we can obtain further silk of exactly the
same
colour as the silk is hand dyed which results in slight variations of
colour.
Because
pure silk is a totally natural fabric it breathes with your body.
This
means that in summer it is cool and comfortable whilst in winter it is
warm
and luxurious. Silk is also extremely easy to care for all it needs is
a
gentle wash in warm water with a mild detergent followed by a damp iron
and
it will be as good as new and last for years. Of course you can always
have
it dry cleaned if you prefer.
